How is a man properly supposed to hold a woman's coat, to help her put it on? Does he hold it low, or high, when behind her?

The reason for starting with the left arm is that more people are right-handed, and the man has to have the right arm available to guide the coat, so the scarf will be on the left, or less used, arm.
